Sustainable Pathways Nigeria Joins FIDA Nigeria in Advocating for Gender-Responsive Budgeting to Combat Gender-Based Violence.
The CEO/Founder of Sustainable Pathways Nigeria SPN, early this year was nominated International Federation of Women Lawyers FIDA Nigeria, as a member of the 10-Man Committee to advocate for Gender Responsive Budgeting as an Advocacy Tool for Women’s Rights Advocates/CSOs in Nigeria. The initiative aims to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) with a focus on harmful practices within our society.
Fida Nigeria has been at the forefront of promoting gender equality and women’s rights, and their efforts are truly commendable.

Gender Responsive Budgeting serves as a powerful tool to ensure that the necessary financial resources are allocated towards addressing VAWG/SGBV and creating a safer environment for all. By integrating a gender perspective into budgetary processes, we can drive positive change, enhance access to justice, and empower survivors of violence which is part of the key focus of Sustainable Pathways Nigeria, Enhancing GBV through education and empowerment.

Together, we can strengthen the legal framework, raise awareness, and promote policies that protect and empower women and girls in Nigeria.
